More About Shea Butter
Shea Butter comes from the berries of the West African Shea Tree.
A Natural Remedy for Dry Skin
Do you suffer from dry skin? In winter it’s too cold to moisturise bare skin and in summer it’s too hot to add another greasy layer to sunburn, suntan lotion and skin that needs to breathe.
Homemade Shea Butter Sugar Scrub
We love natural, homemade body products with quality ingredients. They’re fun to make and you know exactly what it contains. A sugar scrub will gently exfoliate – use it on your waxed bikini area to avoid ingrown hairs. It’s gentle enough to use all over your body (avoid the face) to remove dead skin.
The recipe below contains shea butter, making the scrub super moisturising. It’s important to add emulsifying wax. This will help the shea butter dissolve in water and wash away, rather than blocking your drain or shower outlet. We added Coconut Fragrance Oil and the result was exquisite.
