Step 1
You will need:
a pot with a spout or a metal jug
some gelwax
a soatie stick
a glass
candle wick
some wooden cut-outs
Step 2
Place the gelwax in the pot or jug and heat on a electric stove. Do NOT heat the gelwax in a microwave.
Stir occasionally until all the gelwax has turned to liquid.
Step 3
Thread the wick through the metal sustainer.
Step 4
Place the metal sustainer on the bottom of the glass, in the middle. You could stick it down with a little bit of Prestik
if you struggle to keep it in place. Place a sosatie stick across the mouth of the glass and drape the wick over it, so that
the wick remains centered.
Step 5
Gently pour some of the melted gelwax into the glass. Pour enough into the glass to cover the metal sustainer.
Allow about 5 min to cool.
Step 6
Position whatever objects you’re using in the layer of gelwax.
Step 7
Fill the glass with gelwax. Ensure that the wick stays centered. Leave to cool.
