The best way to mix your own colours it to make fairly concentrated wax blocks and then use these rather than the powdered dye. Melt some 6039 wax and add the colour of your choice. Pour into a baking tray and wait for it to cool down. Slice the wax into blocks before it is completely cold. When cold, remove the blocks from the tray.

NB: adding stearic acid will change the hue.

How to mix lime green

Use mainly yellow wax with just a touch of green.

How to mix voilet

Mix blue and red. Use twice as much blue as red.

How to mix burgundy

Use red wax with a few blocks of blue.

How to mix orange

Combine yellow & red blocks in more or less equal parts.
